About

Adrian Addison “Addy” Miller portrayed Summer in The Walking Dead. She started as a model at the age of four, but didn’t make it big until she was eight, when she got the role of young Dakota Fanning in The Secret Life of Bees. She says that when she did it, it made her want to become an actress. However, her most notable work was as Summer, most commonly called “Little Girl Zombie”, in the premier of The Walking Dead “Days Gone Bye”. Fans called the scene the “Best Kill”, “Shock of the Week”, “Zombie of the Week”, and Addy was declared an “Instant Horror Legend”.

According to Addy, her most memorable on-set moments were getting personal directions from Frank Darabont, working closely with Greg Nicotero in the make-up room, talking to producer Gale Anne Hurt, and hanging out with Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori). She is also proud of having done her own stunts, and Darabont was very impressed by the results.

Ever since her appearance in “Days Gone Bye”, Addy has made appearances at horror and comic conventions around the United States, and it has become a favorite activity of both her and her family. She also has an interest in behind-the-scenes work, such as camera work. At home, she enjoys reviewing movies and watching actors react to certain situations. Addy considers herself a “darker actress”, meaning likes to be in dramas and tough emotional scenes, and says that she does horror for “fun”.
