Andrea Harrison is twelve years older than her sister, Amy. Due to the age difference, there was a lot of resentment from Amy towards her sister since Andrea left her at home when she went to college and did not come back often. After the outbreak began, they became closer, even despite the fact Amy was still upset with Andrea for correcting and judging her, and often telling her what to do, even though deep down inside Amy worshipped her and wanted to be like her.

Andrea is known for having long blonde hair and a slim body shape, as well as being intelligent, cautious, brave, and being independent. Prior to her sister’s death, she was extremely protective over her, but after the fact she became extremely depressed and suicidal. However, she does come out of it. Ironically, she met her end by suicide.

In Season 1 Episode 3 “Tell It to the Frogs,” Andrea says that the items that she misses the most are her vibrator, “Sat-nav” (satellite navigation), her “Benz” (Mercedes-Benz), and GPS.

She has had a sexual relationship with two main antagonists: Shane Walsh (Season 2) and the Governor (Season 3).

In The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, a man named Terry Harrison mentions his daughters, Amy and Andrea, to Daryl. It is unconfirmed whether this is canon or an Easter egg.

Following Amy’s death, Andrea wanted to commit suicide throughout Season 1 and Season2, stating that she had nothing else to live for. By the time she had found hope in Season 3, she was bitten in the neck by Milton Mamet and committed suicide.

She was the last human death in Season 3.

Andrea is the second character whose comic counterpart is currently alive in the comics, but died in the TV series (the first was Sophia Peletier).

Ironically, Andrea’s death had very similar circumstances to that of Amy’s: they were both bitten on the neck, both were killed via gunshot in the head by Andrea, and both were at a great disadvantage against the walker that did them in.

She is the only membered of Rick’s group to have committed suicide.

In Season 3, Andrea started and ended the season with a high fever and laying on a wall beside Michonne.

The clothes Andrea is wearing when she dies are the same as when she first met Michonne.
